Back to my roots

It was never my intention to become a medium, communicating with those who crossed over to the other side. What I did want to do though was spend my life investigating reports of hauntings, apparitions, and poltergeist activity. Doing just that is how I honed the ability I now use to make my living. 

Even though I'm out of the field on a "full time" basis, I do help out with a group called Colorado Paranormal Rescue (http://www.coloradoparanormalrescue.com). And that's what I'll be doing later on tonight. 

I have no clue as to what is supposedly going on, and I won't be told until after I give my impressions. It's something I still enjoy doing, and I'll tell you all about it tomorrow.

Updates

I mentioned in a previous post that Cheryl's (my lady friend) dog, Prince, was sick and possibly needed to be put down. Well, I'm happy to say that he's fine. Apparently what was needed was a change in his diet. 

The apparent change that was needed was a clearing of Cheryl's home of the ghosts that are active in it. Members of Colorado Paranormal Rescue (CPR) came by and identified what was going on in her home and why. They took it a step further and cleared out a number of the apparitions in the home. 

The next day, according to Cheryl, Prince had more energy and and was more playful than he had been in a long time. 

I've been doing a lot of work getting ready for what is apparently the next stage of my career. It seems as though I'm going to be getting more exposure as a Psychic Medium. I'll let you know what that's about as it happens. 

Memorial Day weekend was busy for Cheryl and me. We went to quite a few parties, and basically ended up exhausted and lazy come Sunday and Monday. 

Cheryl is heading up to Wyoming for one of her nephew's graduations tomorrow, so I get to take care of Prince! My own cat, Albert, seems to be taking all the disruptions in our quality time in stride. 

Tomorrow, I'll be meeting with Colorado Paranormal Rescue to go over the evidence they collected at Cheryl's house with them while Cheryl is gone. I'll let you know what they find. 

More, and more lately, I've come to appreciate my friends, how much they mean to me, and how much I mean to them. I'm also appreciating more, and more, the effect that the work I do has on the people I serve. 

I guess what I'm saying is that I'm coming to a place in my life where I'm really appreciating my life, and my place in life. I'm also appreciating God more and more. Right now, I'm really happy. 

Synchronicities

Well, today has been quite the day for me! I was in a bookstore earlier today and after looking at some books decided it's time to become serious about writing one of my own. In fact, my exact thought was, "Looks like writing a book is my next step." 

I was inspired to go the the New Age section and I picked up a book to look at. I wasn't sure why I picked it up, as it was a subject I was only somewhat interested in. 

As I was walking away from the shelf I was again "inspired" to look inside the book to see if there any pictures. There weren't any; instead there was a bookmark that said, "Ready to Write a Book?" I swear that's what it said! 

I stopped and read it and it was from a publishing company looking for authors! In all honesty, the bookmark was about all I read. My first thought was correct, I wasn't all that interested in the book to begin with. 

A little later I was on-line and watching a film Dr. Noah St. John sent to me via e-mail. Noah is the author of "Permission to Succeed," and "The Great Little Book of Afformations." I won't explain what "afformations" are here, but I will tell you it's a powerful technique for getting past any self sabotaging behaviors you may unconsciously have! 

In the film he talked about our subconscious blocks to creating the life we want to live. He simply mentioned that these blocks are what usually keep us from getting what we want for ourselves. You can find out more about Noah, and afformations by going to his website, www.successclinic.com.

Did I mention that when I was in the bookstore earlier, I was looking at books by Dr. Joe Vitale? In case you didn't know, he really came to the public's attention when he was one of the speakers on "The Secret" movie. 

So I'm sitting in a coffee shop, watching Noah's film when I decide to go to Vitale's website, www.mrfire.com. I've never been to his site before, and I noticed he has a video blog. So I go to it, pick a film, and what is he talking about? Our subconscious self sabotaging beliefs, and how to clear them! 

Well, God doesn't have to hit me with a lightening bolt to get me to see what I'm supposed to be learning today. I'm going to be applying what Noah started, and Vitale finished. In case you decide to go to Vitale's site, go to his video blog section, and click on the film from the Learning Annex. 

So what does all of this have to do with me being a Medium? Well, if you read my previous blog, you'll know that I'm all about living life fully. That way I won't have to hang around as a ghost, or come back around in another life. I'm just not into either of those ideas! 

Avoiding "Limbo" or "How NOT to become a ghost!"

I love Josie. She is just a hoot to talk to! 

She sent me an e-mail saying that she needed to tell me something and asked me to call her when I had a chance. So I called her when I figured she would be home from shuttling her kids (ages 6 and 8) to brownies, yoga, karate, the pistol range, etc (just kidding about Yoga!).

"Do you remember that day when you told me that there was a clock in my house that was stuck? I said, 'No, there isn't.' You said, 'Yes, there is.' Do you remember that?"

Actually, I hadn't. When I do psychic readings, or Medium discernments I access a part of my brain that I don't normally use. When I'm no longer in my zone, my brain seems to dump all of the information, so I don't remember much if anything at all of what I said. 

"You told me that there was a stuck clock, so I had John check all of our clocks. He told me that all of our clocks were working just fine. 

Well, I was looking for something yesterday (Monday) and I was looking for it all over. I couldn't find it so I looked in my husband's secretary desk. Do you know what I found? Behind all of this stuff was a clock that was stopped! You were off by an hour as far as the time, but still...!

Anthony, I used to believe in life after death, but now I really believe! The thing is, now I'm afraid of being stuck in 'limbo!'" 

"Josie," I told her, "when I was doing paranormal investigations, I used to hear that same sort of thing all of the time. I'm going to tell you what I used to tell people who said the same thing.

Live your life to the full! In other words, whether you die suddenly, or see it coming, making sure that when you pass you have no regrets. Tell everyone you love you love them. If there's any unhealed hurts between you and someone else, try to heal them. You get the idea."

Psychic Fair

I don't normally participate as a reader in psychic fairs, but there is one I do regularly for a couple of reasons. One of them is that the owner, Deb Guinther, is a friend of mine. The other reason is that I love the other readers who are usually at her fairs. 

So I went did readings and a discernment at Cornerstone Books psychic fair today. For a while it was pretty steady, but during the lulls we sat around and talked, and laughed. Boy did we laugh! 

One of the readers, Lawrence Woodson does palmistry and numerology. He's a great guy with a very dry sense of humor. He's also a great straight man for my teasing. Nancy Graves, an intuitive, who also worked at the fair was teasing him as well. I can't forget to mention Maggie Allen, who also does intuitive readings, and Sarah Shepard who combines Astrology with Tarot readings. 

It was one of those "you had to be there" sort of moments, so I'm mentioning it because sometimes psychics take themselves so seriously..., and, in my opinion, it doesn't have to be that way. In fact, if a psychic or Medium takes themselves too seriously, I tend to steer clear from them. It's the same with massage therapists. I've met many a CMT that I barely allow to come within 10 feet of me, let alone put their hands and their energy on me. 

I highly recommend that you do the same. I think it's important to work with a psychic you like, because typically they're someone you can trust. 

After the fair I joined Colorado Paranormal Rescue for an investigation. The investigation didn't really happen... at least, not the way it was planned. While they were doing their thing I met a great couple, Jamie and Richard. Jamie is an architect, and Richard is not only her husband but a contractor. 

They own a great duplex which they're renovating. One of the interesting things about this duplex was that it was once the headquarters of "Peace Jam," a Colorado based organization. Many world leaders have stayed and slept in this home. They (actually Jamie) asked me to check out there house for ghosts and while there weren't any, I surprised them both by saying, "The Dalai Lama slept in this room." He not only slept in the room, but blessed the house as well. 

The leaders who have stayed in that home definitely left an energy imprint that made you feel welcome! Combined with Jamie and Richard's love for each other, and their love of people, well, I wanted to sleep there too! 

Eventually their next door neighbor's caught wind of what was going on, and we were invited to check out their home too. They lived in the other side of the duplex, and the energy was decidedly different. While Jamie and Richard's home had all of this love and peaceful energy, the home attached to it was filled with anger and despair - and it wasn't the homeowners! 

The owners of that home are newlyweds, and very much in love, but unfortunately, previous homeowners from many years ago weren't so happy. In fact, the man committed suicide in his garage, in front of a window so his wife could see him hanging there. I found her ghost still weeping and angry in the master bedroom. I knew that her energy was affecting the marriage, so I mentioned this and they confirmed it. 

I often do house clearings for local real estate agents, for a fee, but one of the psychics with CPR was there whom I trained to cross ghosts over to the other side, and I asked her to do it for the owners of the home. After she was done, I went back into the bedroom and, I'm happy to say, the energy this time was pristine! The couple should now be able to infuse their bedroom with their own energy, of love. 

Being from Guam, I loved the open friendliness of everyone I met that night! I may just pop by one of these days, or nights, and get to know them better! Thanks you guys for making us feel so welcome, and having so much fun with us!
